Description
This learning material is prepared to train fresh graduates and working professionals, to take up the challenges of embedded system design with special emphasis on embedded software design. Embedded system design is about designing a dedicated system, providing solution to a specific problem by implementing a specific application. Embedded system design uses all existing technologies to provide such application-oriented solution. The design begins with understanding the requirements of specifications are further implemented , using suitable technologies. The learning materials is organized to give overall view of embedded system design with special emphasis on software design.

Author
Shilpa Chaudhari is a present, Assistant Professor at the Coventry University (U.K.) Study Centre, M. S. Ramaiah School of Advanced Studies, Bangalore. She has been active in the area of Real time kernel, Multimedia security and Software engineering with OOAD for the last 6 years. She earned her B.E. (Computer Science) degree from North Maharashtra University in 1998 and M.E. (Electronics with Computer) degree from Pune University in 2003.
She worked as Lecturer at Amrutvahini College of Engineering, Sangamner, Maharashtra, from 1999 to 2000 and then as “Programmer Trainee” in SUPER COMPUTER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH CENTRE (SERC), INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE, BANGALORE, from 2000 to 2001.
She has complete the M.E. project work at Central Research Laboratory, Bharat Electronics Limited, Bangalore-13, from July 2002 to December 2002.
She has authored two technical papers in the areas of Multimedia security and two more papers in Embedded system.
