G. AMALORPAVAM is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Sambhram Academy of Management Studies, affiliated with Bangalore City University, Bangalore, Karnataka. She completed her MCA at Bharathidasan University, Tamil Nadu, and her MPhil at Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu. She is pursuing a Ph.D. at Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu. She has twenty-three years of experience in teaching. She has authored a book titled “Introduction to Linux and Shell Scripting,” published by Khanna Publishing House, New Delhi. She has many research papers to her credit in national and international journals. Her areas of academic interest include Software Engineering, Programming Languages, Operating Systems, Relational Database Management Systems, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet of Things. Her research areas encompass Image Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and the Internet of Things.
Dr. M.T. SOMASHEKARA is with the Department of Computer Science and Applications, Bangalore University, Bengaluru. He has nearly three decades of teaching experience at both UG and PG levels. He has authored three other books ‘Problem Solving with C’, ‘Object Oriented Programming with C++’ and ‘Object Oriented Programming with JAVA’ published by PHI Learning Private Limited, Delhi. All these have seen multiple editions and they have been adopted for both UG and PG Computer Science courses by more than 100 universities and Autonomous colleges in the country. He has co-authored another book entitled ‘Introduction to Linux and Shell Scripting’ and authored a unique, motivational and directional book entitled ‘The Journey – From Being a Reader to Becoming an Author’ both published by Khanna Publishing House, New Delhi. The motivational and directional book is useful for those teachers who aspire to become authors. He has several research papers to his credit in national and international journals. He is the life member of ISTE CSI, ISCA and IUPRAI. His areas of academic interest include Data Structures, Algorithms, Programming Languages, Operating Systems and Databases. His areas of research include Image Processing and Pattern Recognition.
Dr. VENUGOPAL K R, Former Vice-Chancellor of Bangalore University, served University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering as Principal for 15 years and Bangalore University for over the last five decades. He has eleven degrees including Electronics, Economics, Law, Journalism, Industrial Relations, Public Relations, Business Finance, Mass Communication and he has two Ph.Ds, one in Economics from Bangalore University and another in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai. He is presently pursuing Ph.D in Law. He has authored and edited 103 books and published more than 1200 papers in International Conferences and International Journals. He has awarded Ph.Ds to 30 students and informally guided more than 200 Research Scholars and supervised more than 700 Post Graduate dissertations in Computer Science and Engineering. He has 40 granted utility patents to his credit.
He received IEEE Fellow and ACM Distinguished Educator award from USA for his outstanding contributions to Computer Science and Engineering. He was a Post Doctoral Research Scholar and visiting Professor at University of Southern California, USA. His areas of interest include Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Computer Networks and Data Mining, International Economics and Cyber Law.
