The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has unveiled the “AICTE Compendium of Prescribed Textbooks for Undergraduate and Diploma Courses in Regional Languages.”

This initiative aims to promote inclusivity and accessibility in higher education by providing technical and non-technical textbooks in eight regional languages: Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, and Gujarati.

The initiative aligns with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasizing the importance of learning in one’s native language for a deeper conceptual understanding and enhanced educational outcomes.
